Gin&Tonic freshens up

Gin and tonic goes green!

I’m perfectly aware of the fact that not a single person visits Monkeyfood in search for a drink recipe. Still, you’re gonna get some. To boost your paleolithic Christmas time and loosen your tongue I have a few ideas which aren’t THAT bad compared to beer, cider or even bubbly, which leaves not only my head but also my tummy bubbly. Sad but true.

The first one’s robbed from Robb’s Paleo Solution and called NorCal Margarita. The second one appearing in the photos is something The Meat Eater drank last weekend in Jyväskylä, in a place called Shaker. Can’t but recommend. Gives a whole new aspect for the traditional gin and tonic. Really worth trying. The taste of the cucumber is surprisingly strong.

These two are also easy to order in a bar, nothing too complicated like a gluten free pizza or stuff. If you want max impact, drink it in an empty stomach. If you want the least impact, be sure to eat well before starting the partay.

NorCal Margarita

  • shot of (golden) tequila
  • a juice of lime
  • soda

Mix and get hammered.

Taste of health.

Gin&Tonic avec Cucumber

  • a shot of quality gin (I like Bombay Sapphire – mainly for the bottle)
  • a thick slice of cucumber
  • tonic

Mix gin and tonic and garnish with the cucumber. When you start to sip, be sure to stick the cucumber slice into the glass. (Paleo tight) bottoms up!
